Today we're giving a shout out to Chris, who is in Germany. And who also has the opportunity to get a full nights uninterrupted sleep. Just saying.
Yesterday I tried a new tactic in my Science Experiment titled "How to get your baby to sleep for longer than 2 hour stretches at night." I fed him an evening meal for the first time in the hopes that a full belly would encourage a longer night's sleep. Is it just me, or does it seem like Mr. Mischievious is laughing at my attempt?
Kid, follow Bailey's lead - take a snooze!
There was a positive beginning. I was able to put Max to bed succesfully with no crying, and was able to enjoy several non-whimpering hours before he remembered that his goal in life is to make sure that I never sleep for more than 3-4 hours per night. At 9:30 he got back in the game and woke up - and stayed awake until 12:30. Fun times. Then he took a "nap" and got back up at 2:30 and stayed awake until 4:00. Another quick nap until 6:00...and then up for the day.
Enter my new best friend:
I was delighted to discover that this little baby is 0 Weight Watchers points. I can, therefore, consume these to my heart's content....or until my heart actually explodes, whichever comes first. Don't think I won't. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Now, what will be unfortunate is if the massive dose of caffeine causes increased wakefulness in Max due to breastmilk consumption. Who am I kidding, he COULDN'T sleep any less than he does now...right??
RIGHT???
THIS JUST IN...I have discovered a clue that might indicate why Max doesn't need to sleep at night...he is obviously sneaking in naps when I'm not looking! I must be more vigilant!
In other news: HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO BENNY!!!! I can't believe it's been a year since you made your debut.

Dadgummit, that baby is the cutest. I'm so glad he's giving you the kind of sleepless nights I'm used to. To hell with babywise! Yes, I just said that.
Dear Robin,
I just saw your new hair-style....
You look very nice... I love it
