I'm Not Getting Dressed Today!

What do these times have in common: 12:35 AM, 2:15 AM, 4:25 AM, 6:25 AM?

Hint, they have something to do with this little face:

"Yes, I look sweet, cuddly, and sleepy, but I'm not going to sleep tonight."

That's right, Max was up at all of those times last night, or I guess I should say this morning (days and nights are currently one and the same to Max apparently). Chris suggested this morning that I spend the day napping when Max naps and that "when I get home, you should be wearing the same thing you're wearing now" (which is pajamas). He even agreed to pick up the dog food on the way home from work so that I have no need to leave the house. Yay!!

Far be it for me to disappoint my husband. When he gets home I WILL still be wearing my pajamas. So will Max. In other words, we'll still look like this:

Max and I have already successfully completed one nap, and I am feeling marginally more human. The weather has even agreed to help us out with our napping today:

There are some things that are essential for a day of napping:

Cozy couch, pillow, fluffy blanket, trashy novel. Oh, and burp cloths. And the iPhone. (of course)

So as not to be entirely lazy today, we also tried to catch some cute pictures for the Christmas card. Yes, for the first time ever, the Ludwigs will have a PHOTO Christmas card. I have waited anxiously for this for years...I tried to convince Chris last year that we should take a picture of the two of us in ugly Christmas sweaters but he wouldn't go for it. But now that Max has arrived, I think we are even OBLIGATED to do the photo card. Which is awesome for so many reasons, the most important of which being that I no longer have to write personal greetings in every card!! But so far, I think we're missing that perfect shot:

I also made brownies,

which will be dessert after we eat the dinner I'm going to fix tonight. That's right, folks, I'm cooking (and yes, I consider heating up the contents of a freezer bag cooking - be generous).

(Review of dinner: Not great. My not-from-a-bag fajitas are much better and I will not be purchasing this kit again.)

My sous-chef

I also might put away the laundry. Then I'm gonna call it a day and pray that the little man decides to actually sleep tonight for longer than a 2 hour stretch at a time, thereby eliminating the necessity for a second "pajama day" - although I'll be happy to revisit the idea on the next cold rainy day we have around here :)

(Bailey also enjoys a nap day from time to time...but she does not enjoy pajamas).

Chris just got home - with the dog food and a treat for Bailey. He took a picture of Max and me...end of the day, and, as promised, still in our jammies. (well, Max had 2 outfit changes, but who's counting?)
