Fall Impressions

It's finally fall! It's so nice to have some cooler days and some changing leaves. Walks are much more enjoyable when it's not 100 degrees. I took all of these pictures on a walk up and down Mom and Dad's street.

And Paul and Olympia's jack-o-lantern made quite an impression as well....

Slightly frightening, don't you think?

In other news....
On Wednesday it was rainy, and I think everyone was going a little bit stir-crazy. Max and I were missing Chris, but we had a visit from Julie, Sam, Nathanael, Mimi and Lucy in the afternoon. It was rather hectic, to say the least. The boys loved on Max,

Aunt Julie loved on Max,

Mimi loved on Max,

and the boys loved on each other!

On Friday, Dad got home from his trip to Egypt, Jordan, and Israel. He never comes home empty-handed. He brought the boys some Egyptian headgear:

and of course, he brought Chris the obligatory sampling of local chocolate. I'm pretty sure it was determined last trip that Middle Eastern chocolate is the worst on the planet...

but just in case there was some doubt, we're trying it all again. However, the award for "move over-priced purchase of the trip" would have to go to the $2 rock he bought from a little boy in Petra. Hopefully Sherry will enjoy the rock for years to come...
