It's a slow week at Casa Ludwig.

We haven't had too much action around here this week. Max has had his first cold, which hasn't seemed to bother him too much. I, however, have suffered immensely because Chris hasn't always been here to handle the nose suctioning. The nasal aspirator and I are not friends. Green things that resemble loogeys (or are loogeys) make me gag. This is an example of one of those things that people said I would get used to once I had a kid. Not so. But anyway, I digress.

We've had some interesting weather here. This weekend was absolutely beautiful. We were able to enjoy a Sunday afternoon at Cleveland Park, along with every other citizen of Greenville County, including the Stones. Max and Leah enjoyed their time together. Max likes this "Free Range Chick".

She's not sold on him, however.

Heck, it was even warm enough for a swim, apparently.

Monday was also warm early in the day. Max tested out his shirtless look for summer. Hopefully during summer, he'll be a tad bit browner...we'll see.

Monday night we had major thunderstorms here. With tornado warnings. It was some crazy weather. Mom called and asked me to let her know if there was a tornado coming, since she wouldn't know because their TV goes out in the rain. Well, our everything went out in the rain. I had just finished giving Max his bath when we lost all power. Preparing Max's dinner was challenging, but he enjoyed his candlelight dinner.

I had grave concerns about what Chris and I would have for dinner. I voted for Chick-Fil-A, but Chris reminded me that I don't drive well in the rain or dark (and heaven forbid I drive in the dark AND the rain) and he sure wasn't going to go out after he had just gotten home....so I ate multigrain crackers and hummus for dinner. Good enough. Chris took advantage of the power outage by napping on the couch, while I read by flashlight. When the power came back on, Chris was mad...he was "enjoying not having any power"...but I informed him that he could just go to bed and pretend that the power was still out. So he did.

Today my cousin Melanie, my Aunt Dora, and Melanie's 5 week old baby Anthony came to visit. So, Max and I galloped on up to Julie's house to see everyone.

Look how cute Anthony is. Max seemed like a giant next to him!

But Max still looks like a baby next to Nathanael.

Natey is such a sweet cousin. He loves his cousin "Baby Max."

(He also loves working. With proper safety gear.)

And Sam loves...being a knight? Sam also enjoys showing off his Harlem Globetrotter basketball moves while playing against competing teams with such creative names as Tortoise Macaroniheads or some such.

And you know no wee ones gathering is complete without several of these pictures:

(not bad - Max wasn't having it,though...he was WAY too infatuated with Sam.)

Sam seems to enjoy Max's gentle touch; I love that precious Sam smile!!!

But THIS is definitely my favorite...these two were clearly having a moment. Oh, my loves! :

So, not a lot planned for tomorrow. Just waiting for Chris to get home from Chicago and Grand Rapids, and then, on Friday, Max finally gets to meet his Ludwig Grandparents! I have a feeling he MAY get a kiss or two...

Those two group shots sent me into convulsions. Is it just me or does Nathanael look like a giant even next to Sam??? And of course the Max/Sam interaction is hilarious too.
