Yeah, 10 weeks!

Tessa was 10 weeks on Monday. She's really starting to develop her own little personality finally (do I say that every week? Well, I guess every week it's true). She's already developing certain quirky little preferences and habits and I love it so much.

Dear Tessa, I love:

• How you hold onto a hunk of my hair with your left hand and suck on my neck while I hold you
• How you will smile at us BUT you absolutely BEAM at the ceiling fan

• That you won't take a pacifier but you love to suck on your baby doll's pigtails

• That you don't ever really cry when you wake up during the night, but instead just grunt and huff and puff (and ALWAYS work your way out of your swaddle)

• How you get infuriated when you're hungry, just like me.
• How patient you are with your brother's overly aggressive hugs

Speaking of brother, we are really struggling with his sleeping habits recently. He has taken to waking up at all hours of the night, getting up out of bed and trying to get started with his day (ie, implore with us to turn on Dora the Explorer). Last night, at 3:15 AM, I was sleeping very deeply. Imagine my shock and near heart attack when I was awoken by someone standing at the side of my bed, breathing in my face and saying "Let's see...." Yes, it was Max, wide awake and ready for some "TB" as he calls it. (Another of his Maxisms: "Where's the camote?") After I exclaimed "Oh my God!" and Chris shot bolt upright in bed, ready to go into battle with the intruder, Chris escorted him back upstairs to bed.

Lucky for him, it's hard to stay mad at his mischievous ways.
